WORKING AT THE YMCA AND CAMP WAPSIE
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The mission of the YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. So naturally, we seek employees who exhibit the character values behind the mission; Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We want to hire employees who enjoy people and who want to make a difference.
By working for the YMCA, you reap the rewards of helping others. You’ll feel pride in teaching children to do the backstroke, seeing teens grow in leadership skills, or helping adults make strides in their fitness program. The Y is a nonprofit that gives away over $1 million every year in scholarship assistance to people in our community. At the Y, you have the real ability to impact someone’s life. We start employing people, in some positions, as young as 16, so let the YMCA be the place you can work and play.
